The AC vent system has taken the MOST time to develop. Fluid dynamics testing/simulation was utilized to allow the minimal amount of pressure drop possible out of the output from the blower motor to the dash vents.
In doing so, we modified the output port on the box to allow more airflow from the blower motor. The lip located underneath the foam panel at the output port from the HVAC air control system was cut down about 1/3"in to expose a larger surface area for the air to flow.
The components are made of PET-CF, to ensure its reliability and high temperature resistance, perfectly suited for an AC system.
The output vents are designed to have a TIGHT seal, to ensure there are zero air leaks in the system. Two self tapping screws were used on each side of the vent tubing to secure the ducts. Below attached are photos of the duct routing we completed after installing the part. The airflow out of the vents is better than factory for the 9th Generation F-Series trucks. Although the airbox modification is NOT needed, we HIGHLY recommend doing so, as all of the fluid dynamics testing was completed with that size opening.
